CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who took part in the 2009 Mooloolaba Triathlon Festival. What a huge success!
We had near perfect conditions for Friday’s ASICS Twilight 5km Run however the same can’t be said for The Courier-Mail Mooloolaba Superkidz Triathlon. What a fantastic effort from our potential future triathletes to participate in what can only be described as a “Queensland deluge”! The Mooloolaba Ocean Swim also had a few curve balls thrown at it yet competitors shone through and put on a fantastic display of fitness and determination. Saturday afternoon’s crowds were totally entertained by the Men and Women’s Cycling Grand Prix before Sunday’s battle of the best in both our age group and ITU triathlons.
We had record numbers of competitors across all the weekend’s events and thanks to all our fantastic competitors the Mooloolaba Triathlon Festival just keeps getting bigger.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR MOOLOOLABA TRIATHLON SURVEY WINNERS
For simply completing an online participant survey about the Mooloolaba Triathlon Festival, Maree Lalor of Annerley has been drawn as the lucky random winner of a Diva 1 Teshcner bike, complete with SRAM Force group set, PRO bars, stem and seat post, Selle Italia Ladies saddle, Fulcrum 7 wheel set, and Vittoria tyres, valued at $6,199. Congratulations! Four other random winners from the survey respondents won an Orca wetsuit – Denis Best of Paddington, Jonathan Hamwood of Mons, Darren Lucchese or Coorparoo and James Hinchliffe of Brookfield.

 Mooloolaba Tri on Network Seven
Re-live all the action from the 2009 Mooloolaba Triathlon Festival on Sunday, 26 April. A one hour show will be aired on Network Seven at 11:30am (check local guides) of this iconic triathlon event.
The coverage will feature the Aria Open Elite and Age Group events along with extensive coverage of the ITU World Cup race.
So, sit back, put your feet up, and be treated to an action packed hour featuring some of the world’s best triathlete’s doing battle over the toughest course on the ITU World Cup circuit.
The events 17th year was celebrated with a sell out field.
The program will also showcase Mooloolaba, which provided the magnificent backdrop to this world class event to a national audience.
